Throughout the year, New Leaders have the opportunity to participate in a range of organized activities that keep them informed and involved in community issues and events: Events These after-work gatherings take place on a Wednesday evening and are held at various venues in Yakima. Attendees enjoy drinks and hors d'oeuvres while networking with fellow New Leaders and established community leaders. Each event also features a brief program about community issues. The events are sponsored by organizations that see the importance of having informed professionals that will become the next generation of leaders in Yakima County.
