United Way of Central Washington gathers together people, ideas and resources to strengthen communities and improve lives.
United Way of Central Washington is a local non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization, serving Yakima and Kittitas counties. We're committed to using your tax-deductible donation wisely, locally and effectively to make a positive difference in people's lives, creating a stronger community for us all. Last year, our partner agencies served more than 100,000 people, more than 1 in 3! Help comes in many forms, and our system of caring helps people from birth to old age. Families and individuals get the support and tools they need to live better lives.
Thousands and thousands of people throughout our community support United Way each year, and give countless hours to serving our region.
Our 2012-2013 campaign raised nearly $1.6 million in support of the community. These funds will be distributed by a group of 70 community volunteers and will 72 programs at 53 local non-profits that have efficient and effective programs.
With your help, United Way has the unique ability, individually and collectively, to achieve broad civic goals that no single donor, citizen, nonprofit or charity could accomplish alone. Dedicated community volunteers provide the leadership. Caring partner agency staff members provide the support. It's a winning combination!
