Our Character Word of the Month for August is . . .

"Courtesy"

Courtesy – Courtesy is being polite and having good manners. It is being considerate of others. It is a way of speaking and acting with people which gives them a feeling of being valued and respected.

• Show others that I value and respect them
• Remember to treat elders, parents, teachers, and children politely
• Think about how my actions affect others
• Eat, speak and move graciously
• Make requests instead of demands
• Greet people with a smile

 
Cortesía – Es la atención, respeto o afecto que tiene una persona hacia los demás.

• Muestro a los demás que los valoro y los respeto.
• Trato cortésmente a los ancianos, padres, maestros y niños.
• Pienso cómo mis acciones afectan a los demás. 
• Como, hablo y me muevo con gracia.
• Pido las cosas en vez de ordenarlas. 
• Saludo a las personas con una sonrisa.
