Community Investment

Become a Community Investment Volunteer

Help determine how United Way dollars are spent! On an annual basis, United Way provides funding to local programs that have proven their effectiveness. Through a process we call Community Investment, donor volunteers lead the review of funding requests, program outcomes, financial data, and past performance. Most of the work takes place in May and June. Volunteers should be able to commit to about 19 hours, spread over 4 days.

If you contribute to United Way and are interested in participating in Community Investment, please contact Tysa Kihn, Director of Community Investment, by email or calling (509) 248-1557.
