City of Yakima and Yakima County issue proclamations for United Way

Thank you to both the Yakima City Council and Yakima County Commissioners for wonderful proclamations in support of United Way and the 2012 campaign.

On September 4, 2012, the City of Yakima Council members voted to approve a proclamation declaring September 5, 2012 as a Day of Caring. United Way of Central Washington kicked off the annual fundraising campaign that Wednesday. Hundreds of local volunteers are working to run employee giving campaigns at businesses throughout Yakima and Kittitas Counties.

The County Commission issued their proclamation on September 11, declaring Thursday, September 20, 2012 as United Way Day in Yakima County.
