2019 NLYC Nonprofit Fair – You’re Invited!

Your organization is invited to participate in the New Leaders of Yakima County (NLYC) Nonprofit Fair on Thursday, March 28th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Junior Acheivment, 650 University Pkwy Yakima, Wa 98901 This year’s sponsor is Kyle Rasmussen, Jonathen Hernandez, Steven Wagar with Northwestern Mutual and Chris Rankin with Rankin Equipment along with Varietal Beer Co and Lincoln Ave Espresso . What is New Leaders of Yakima County? New Leaders of Yakima County is a local group of more than 250 of our valley’s most dynamic individuals new in their careers. These caring men and women come from a range of industries and backgrounds, with a desire to get involved and promote positive community organizations. Interested in joining? Contact Tiffany Wilson at: tiffany.wilson@co.yakima.wa.us.

What is the Nonprofit Fair? The Nonprofit Fair is an opportunity for your organization to meet this motivated group and let them know how they can help your organization make our community better! Previous attendance at these events has exceeded 100, so the opportunity to connect with potential volunteers and board members is tremendous! To assist our nonprofit organization in off-setting the cost of this event, the registration fee to secure your space this year is $40. This fee is not meant to create a barrier for participation, so if it creates a burden on your organization, please contact Brian Rackley at United Way (Brian@uwcw.org; 509-248-1557) to discuss the waiver of that fee. Each organization will share an 8-foot table to present their mission, details about their programs, and any open volunteer opportunities such as board membership to the attendees. If your organization has a table you can provide, we would appreciate it!

NLYC has a strict guideline that prohibits any fundraising at our events. Please do not solicit any of the attendees at the Nonprofit Fair for monetary or in-kind contributions. How Do I Register? Please visit https://www.uwcw.org/nlyc_nonprofitfair and/or call the United Way office at 509-248-1557 before 5pm on March 22th to reserve your spot. Due to limited space, we will only reserve tables for the first 25 nonprofits to respond. Please note that NLYC hosts events for adults 21 and over, and unfortunately we are unable to accommodate children.
